# cmd/vkgen

`import "github.com/matjam/bunyip/cmd/vkgen"`

Command vkgen generates the Vulkan binding in internal/vk from the Khronos registry. It covers the core versions up to -version and the extensions in -ext, closed over every type those definitions mention, and emits a test that pins each struct's C layout.

From the repository root, regenerate the committed binding with:

	CGO_ENABLED=0 go generate ./internal/vk

Direct invocation accepts -registry (default ../../third\_party/vulkan/vk.xml), -out (default current directory), -pkg (default vk), -version (default 1.3) and -ext (comma-separated extension names, with the engine's platform and rendering extensions selected by default). Relative paths are resolved from the current working directory. Generated files replace files of the same names in -out; do not hand-edit the binding.
